A Cold Day at BryceBryce Canyon, UtahWhen I arrived in Bryce Canyon, it was late in the day, late in the month of October, and late in my journey. That day was a beautiful and sunny day. I had just enough time left in the day to go out and find a perfect location to photograph the morning’s sunrise. I found this place, and thought it would be perfect. Marked it on the map, and went back to the hotel where I was to stay that night. Set my alarm for an hour before sunrise, and went to bed. The next morning, my alarm went off, and I arose. Got dressed, grabbed the camera, and went out to the truck to head to my spot for the perfect sunrise. As I opened the door, I was hit with snow! It was freezing out side. My truck was under a foot of snow. There was a blizzard going on. So…I went back to bed. I awoke again around 8:00 AM, and started to walk to the restaurant for breakfast. Then I noticed, there was a huge whole in the clouds, and sun was peeking in. So I grabbed the camera and rushed out to this spot, and got this shot… Then it started to snow again.
