This is a picture of Sea Gulls, why is it called fish camp? Along the Gull of California in Baja Mexico, between Bahia De Los Angeles, and San Francisquito, there was a fish camp. At his camp, one of the ponga’s, (small fishing boat) had returned with the day’s catch. The fisherman were cleaning the fish, and throwing the cleanings out into the sea. Well the gulls loved that! Since there was a very strong on-shore wind, the gulls were flapping their wings as hard as they could just to stay in place over the action. They were only a few yards away from me, and at eye level. There were thousands of them!
