Golden Sandpiper

During the early 90’s, I lived in Redondo Beach, California.  In fact, I lived right on the beach.  Many evenings when I got home from work, I would grab my camera and just take a walk from here to there and back.  No real destination in mind, but just out to see what’s going on.  I saw many things, I photographed many things.  I think that is where I learned a great deal about photography, probably only because I burned through a lot of film. 

One of the methods of photography that I love to do is, shoot into the sun.  I do this as often as I possibly can, and I have some very cool images as a result.  The Golden Sand-Piper is one example.  I followed this guy all around the beach for over an hour just trying to get that perfect angle. 

This print is 11”x 14”.  The outside matte is measured to 16”x 20”, and is ready to fit into a standard 16”x 20” frame.
