Heceta Head Lighthouse stands on the northern end of the Oregon Coast. The funny story about this picture is that for over five years I have called it The Point Cabrillo Lighthouse, which is located in Northern California. Then, one day doing an Art Show in Southern California, it was very smartly pointed out to me by a member of the U.S. Lighthouse Society, (she was also a member in other lighthouse Organizations such as, The American Lighthouse Foundation, and The Lighthouse Preservation Society.) This woman knew her lighthouse’s and she had to tell me about it. I had it wrong…I had better fix it…so I did! What she didn’t know was that when I took this picture, I had taken photographs of dozens of lighthouses. In fact on that trip I was gone from April through November. I took this photograph in late April, and since I didn’t see my film until I returned in November, and then I had to edit over 300 rolls of film, if I got only one wrong…I can live with that.
